Lakshmi has lived in Radha Kunda for many years and has been a part of RadhaSeva for over six years. With our community, she daily cleans Radha Kunda and Shyama Kunda along with her adult daughter.

About Lakshmi

Meet the woman you're sponsoring

Lakshmi was born into a poor village and had little resources within her family. She was denied the opportunity for an education and was married by her family instead to a man significantly older in age when she was still only a youth. She worked within the local village until the death of her husband. Having only a daughter, she did not have family members who could support or help her after the death of her husband. She made the decision to move to Vrindavan to continue her spiritual practices in a safe and protected way. Unfortunately coming to Vrindavan was more difficult than she expected and she struggled to find real care in the ashrams. Eventually, she connected with us at RadhaSeva and is now truly peaceful living a life of spirituality in her favorite place, Radha Kunda. Now, her daughter has recently moved to Radha Kunda to be closer to her mother, and they now care for Radha Kunda together.
